Siding Repair and Replacement in Hebron
We fix loose, cracked and faded siding, and we replace it when patching won't hold anymore. You get a straight answer on which one your home needs, a written estimate, and a crew that cleans up like it's working next door.
When siding work is the right call
Siding is the outer skin of your home. When it cracks, warps or works loose, rain gets behind it and soaks the sheathing and framing underneath. You usually don't see that damage until it's been going on a while.
A few broken pieces after a windstorm is a repair job. Siding that's brittle, faded through or bulging all over is usually a replacement. We'll tell you which one we see and why before we put a number on anything.
We work with vinyl and fiber cement, plus the trim, soffit and wrap that go with them. If your gutters or roof edge are part of the problem, we'll point that out too.
What our siding work includes
- Panel repair
- We pull out cracked, holed or blown-off pieces and put in new ones that fit the same profile, in the closest color we can find. If your siding has been discontinued, you'll hear that from us before any work starts.
- Full siding replacement
- The old siding comes off, we look at the wall, and new house wrap goes on before the new panels. We don't cover over rot.
- Wrap and flashing
- Around windows, doors and where a wall meets the roof, flashing does the real work of keeping water out. Any time the siding comes off, we redo it right.
- Sheathing repair
- If the boards under the siding are soft, we take photos, show you, and replace them before the wall gets closed back up.
- Trim, soffit and fascia
- Rotted fascia and loose soffit panels let in water and critters. We replace them so the edges of your home finish clean and tight.
Signs your siding needs attention
Warped or buckled panels
Wavy siding often means it was nailed too tight to move with the heat, or water is getting behind it. Either way it won't flatten back out.
Cracks, holes or missing pieces
Hail, wind and the odd mower stone all do this. Every opening is a path for water into the wall.
Soft or rotted spots
Press on the lower courses and around windows. If it gives, the wood behind it is likely wet.
Chalky, brittle vinyl
Old vinyl fades and turns brittle. After a few Northern Kentucky winters of freeze and thaw, it starts cracking at the slightest bump.
Trouble showing up inside
Peeling paint, stains or a musty smell on an outside wall can point to water coming through the siding.
How a siding job goes
- 1
Phone call and walk-around
You tell us what you're seeing. We set a time, come out and walk every wall with you, free.
- 2
Written estimate
You get the scope in writing: what's coming off, what's going on, and what we'll check underneath. If we find more once the wall is open, we show you photos and talk before doing extra work.
- 3
Work days
We cover plants and AC units, keep ladders off your flower beds and stack scrap in one spot. At the end of each day we pick up trim pieces and run a magnet for nails.
- 4
Final walk-through
We walk the job with you, check every seam and corner, and fix anything you aren't happy with before we pack up.

What moves the cost of siding
Every house is different, so we price after we've seen yours. These are the things that make the biggest difference. You'll see each one on your written estimate.
- Size and height
- More wall area means more material and labor. Two-story walls and steep lots need more staging and take longer.
- Material
- Vinyl and fiber cement cost different amounts and install differently. Fiber cement is heavier and needs more cutting and finishing.
- What's underneath
- Solid sheathing keeps the job simple. Rot, old layers of siding or missing wrap add time and material.
- Windows, corners and trim
- Each window, door and corner needs flashing and trim. A house with lots of them takes more hands-on work than a plain box.
- Permits
- If the job needs a permit, we pull it and include it in the estimate so it's not a surprise later.
Siding questions we hear
Something not covered here? (859) 214-7854
Can you replace just a few pieces of siding?
Yes, as long as the rest of the siding is in decent shape. We pull the damaged pieces and lock new ones into place. The catch is color: older vinyl fades, so a new piece may look brighter for a while. We'll show you samples so you know what to expect.
Can new siding go right over the old?
Sometimes it can, but we usually don't recommend it. Covering old siding hides rot and leaves you guessing about the wall. We'd rather take it off, check the sheathing and put new wrap on.
Will insurance pay for hail or wind damage to my siding?
It might, depending on your policy and the damage. We can take photos of each damaged wall and put our findings on paper, which gives you something solid to hand your insurer. We don't act as your adjuster. If the roof got hit too, our Storm Damage Repair page covers how we handle both.
How long does a siding job take?
A repair is often done in a single visit. A full house takes longer, depending on size, height and what we find under the old siding. We'll give you an honest timeline on your estimate and keep you posted if weather pushes it.
Do I need to be home while you work?
No. The work is all outside. We just need access to the walls and an outdoor outlet, and we'll want you there for the final walk-through.
