Storm Damage Repair in Hebron for Hail, Wind and Fallen Limbs

When hail, high wind or a falling limb hits your roof, we come out, check every slope and show you photos of what we found. Then we fix the damage and explain how the insurance side works, without pushing you toward a new roof you don't need.

What Storm Damage Repair Covers

Storm damage isn't always easy to see from the yard. Hail can bruise shingles and knock the granules loose without leaving a hole. Wind can lift a row of tabs, break the seal strip and lay them back down looking fine. A few months later, water finds the weak spot.

We look at the roof up close, write down what the storm did and what it didn't, and fix it. Sometimes that's a handful of shingles and a strip of flashing. Sometimes the damage is spread across the whole roof and replacement is the honest answer. Either way, you'll see the photos before you decide anything.

Spring thunderstorms in Northern Kentucky bring hail and straight-line wind, so we get a lot of calls in those months. We treat each one like it's a neighbor's house: show up when we say, explain things plainly and leave the yard clean.

What the Work Includes

  1. 01

    A full roof check

We walk every slope we can safely walk and check the ridge, valleys, vents and edges. We also look at gutters, downspouts and siding, since hail rarely hits just one thing.

  2. 02

    Pictures of each damaged spot

Every problem we find gets photographed and labeled, so you know exactly what you're looking at. If you decide to file a claim, you can hand the same pictures to your insurance company.

  3. 03

    Shingle and flashing repair

We replace cracked, creased or missing shingles and match them as closely as we can. Bent or loose flashing around chimneys and walls gets reset or replaced so water stays out.

  4. 04

    Temporary cover when needed

If a limb or high wind leaves an opening, we tarp it properly so your home stays dry until the repair is done.

  5. 05

    Decking checked underneath

Where shingles come off, we look at the wood below. Soft or broken decking gets replaced before new shingles go on, not covered over.

  6. 06

    Cleanup before we leave

We pick up old shingles, storm debris and stray nails, and run a magnet over the yard and driveway.

Signs Your Roof Took Storm Damage

  • Shingle scraps on the ground

Torn bits of shingle by the foundation or on the front walk mean something ripped loose up top. A single scrap is reason enough to have the roof checked.

  • Granules in the gutters

A pile of gritty granules at the downspout after a hailstorm is a common sign the shingle surface got beaten up.

  • Dents on metal

Check your gutters, vent caps and mailbox. If hail dented the metal, it likely hit the shingles too.

  • New water stains inside

A fresh brown spot on a ceiling or a damp patch in the attic after a storm points to an opening somewhere above.

  • Lifted or creased tabs

From the ground you may see shingle edges that look raised or folded. That usually means wind broke the seal.

From Your Phone Call to a Finished Repair

  1. 1

Tell us what the storm did

Give us a ring and describe what you saw, heard or found afterward. We'll pick a day to come out and look, and the inspection costs you nothing.

  2. 2

    We inspect and photograph

We go over the roof and the other parts of the outside that took a hit. Then we sit down with you, go through the photos and tell you plainly whether it needs a repair, a replacement or nothing at all.

  3. 3

    You decide on insurance

If the damage looks like a claim, we explain how the process usually works and what the adjuster will want to see. Whether to file is your call. We don't act as your adjuster.

  4. 4

We do the repair and clean up

We protect your landscaping, do the work and clear the yard. When we're done, we show you photos of the finished repair.

Why One Storm Job Costs More Than Another

No two storms leave the same mess. One roof needs six shingles and a dab of sealant, the next needs a whole slope torn off. Once we've been up top, we write out every part of the job on its own line, so you see the price of each piece before any work begins. That paper also gives you something to hold up next to the adjuster's numbers if you file a claim.

How much area was hit
A few torn shingles on one slope is a quick job. Hail spread across every face of the roof is a much bigger one.
Damage under the shingles
If water got in and softened the decking, that wood has to come out and be replaced. We can't always know until the old shingles are up.
Finding a close match
When your shingles have some age on them, or the product line is no longer made, a good match takes some hunting. That can raise material cost and change how big a section is worth redoing.
Roof pitch and access
Steep roofs and tight spots near trees take more time and safety gear to work on safely.

Storm Damage Questions

Should I call you or my insurance company first?

Many people call us first so they know whether there's real damage before they file. We'll give you photos and a plain answer. If there's little damage, you may decide not to file at all.

Will you push me into a full roof replacement?

No. If a repair will hold, we'll say so and price the repair. We only recommend roof replacement when the damage is spread wide enough that patching won't last.

Can hail damage really be hidden?

Yes. Hail often knocks granules loose or cracks the mat under the surface without leaving an obvious hole. It may not leak right away, but the shingle wears out faster. That's why we look up close instead of from the ground.

Do you work with my insurance adjuster?

We can be on the roof when the adjuster comes out and point out what we found. We share our photos and estimate with you. The claim decisions stay between you and your insurance company.

Do you fix gutters and siding hit by the same storm?

Yes. Hail and wind often dent gutters and crack siding along with the roof. We check them during the same visit, and our gutters and siding work can be done alongside the roof repair.
